The Jeep Compass is powered by a 1.4L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that offers 161 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. For transmission, it comes with a 7-speed DCT in a 4×2 configuration. A 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine option outputs 168 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 6-speed MT or a 9-speed TC. Only the 9-speed TC variants get a 4X4 layout option.
