Next-Generation Swift: A Hybrid Revolution

Suzuki is gearing up to take the hybrid technology to the next level with the next-generation Swift. While the current-generation Swift has a hybrid version, it was only made for testing purposes and was even given to the Indian government for pilot runs. However, the upcoming Swift is expected to have a radical design and will be powered by a hybrid engine.

The Suzuki YRA, showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, is a larger hatchback that will sit above the Swift and compete with the likes of Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz. This new hatchback will be powered by a 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine, which is a turbo engine and will come with a manual and automatic transmission option.

The new Suzuki Swift’s chassis has been designed keeping hybrid in mind, and it’s likely that the Swift could even be powered by this new 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine if the Japanese manufacturer is looking at downsizing its current engines as it has been doing in the past.

The hybrid technology in the next-generation Swift is expected to be a game-changer in the automotive industry. With the increasing focus on environment-friendly vehicles, Suzuki’s move to introduce a hybrid Swift is a step in the right direction.

The hybrid engine in the next-generation Swift will be a combination of a 660cc turbo petrol engine and an electric motor.

The next-generation Swift is expected to be a huge success, and with its hybrid technology, it’s likely to attract a lot of attention from environmentally conscious buyers.
